After consuming over 2 dozen Root Beers by myself, I became curious to see how others would react. Unlike “Beat Bobby Flay,” I lack the luxury to bring aboard culinary experts to provide a critique. Let’s start with close friends who have zero professional culinary experience–perfect! Why do I need to establish Ethos? Nobody is sponsoring me…yet. Enter Pete Pineyro (Left) and Jeff F (right).
I have recorded musical projects with them, but never asked them to participate in my culinary adventures. Moreover, they don’t enjoy reading anything from a script. This seems ideal, so I asked them to come to the Man Cave, try out some Root Beers, see what they think, and capture spontaneous thoughts into a Podcast. It’s the pioneering audio version of YouTube first time reactions videos. They weren’t listening to deep cuts: Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, et al. Instead, they would be sampling various Root Beers and describing what they liked about them.
There was no editing as we did this in ONE TAKE. It’s roughly an 18-minute unscripted Podcast, but the energy is real, the Root Beers are real, and nobody was hurt during the recording of this historical occasion… Enjoy!
